• Visit Shanghai. The town of infinite buildings VIDEO

When I think of Shanghai I think of skyscrapters. Tall, shiny buldings that reach the sky. When in Shanghai don't miss the Pearl Tower. It's the tallest building in Shanghai and the second in the world.

It has no more than 256 metres.

From up here you can see the financial heart of Shanghai.

Close there is the famous Nanjing Road. Over 600 stores and thousands of travelers every day passing by, this is as famous as Fifth Avenue in New York. After the Opium War (1839-1842), Shanghai became a treaty port and the Nanjing Road was first the British Concession, then the International Settlement. Now it is a shopping attraction.

You can find malls and famous brands store along the 2 kilometres street. It is a pedestrian street so don't worry about cars.

The closest subway station is East Nanjing Road Station (Subway Line 2).

    WHAT TO DO IN SHANGHAI

Cruise on Huangpu River. The symbol of Shanghai originates in Dianshan Lake and goes to Yangtze River.

It has 114 kilometres and divides Shanghai into east and west. It is a witness to Shanghai's development.

Ships depart from the Bund, sail then to Huangpu Bridge in the south, turn and head north towards Wusongkou, and return to the Bund after almost 40 minutes.
